Sweetalk is an AI speaking-practice app for language learning. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using Sweetalk.
Information We Collect
- Account information, such as your email address, password hash, app language, profile settings, and subscription status.
- Learning information, such as your selected speaking level, learning goals, interests, conversation history, notes, feedback, and usage limits.
- Voice and text content you provide when practicing, including audio recordings, transcripts, chat messages, corrections, and translations.
- Purchase information needed to validate App Store subscriptions, such as Apple transaction identifiers and signed transaction data.
- Technical information, such as device and network diagnostics, API logs, error information, and approximate usage timestamps.
How We Use Information
- To create and secure your account.
- To provide AI conversation, speech transcription, text-to-speech playback, translation, corrections, notes, and feedback features.
- To save your learning progress and personalize your speaking-practice experience.
- To process subscriptions, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and provide customer support.
- To monitor reliability, debug issues, improve safety, and improve Sweetalk.
Service Providers
We use service providers to operate Sweetalk, including hosting, database storage, AI generation, speech processing, email delivery, and Apple App Store payment services. These providers may process your information only as needed to provide their services to Sweetalk. We do not sell your personal information.
Voice and AI Processing
When you use voice or AI features, your text, audio, and related context may be sent to AI and speech service providers so they can generate replies, transcriptions, translations, corrections, or audio. Avoid sharing sensitive personal information in conversations.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep account and learning data while your account is active or as needed to operate Sweetalk, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can request deletion from inside the app through Settings. Deleting your account removes your account record and associated app data that we are not legally required to keep. Apple subscription billing is managed by Apple and must be canceled separately in your Apple account.
Children
Sweetalk is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
International Processing
Sweetalk and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. We take steps designed to protect information consistent with this policy.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated date above shows when the policy was last changed.
